Real Conversations In Digital Age
Why the world needs face-to-face conversations more than ever. An argument drawn from three hundred interviews with individuals and families across six countries.
Written before the pandemic, the book's central argument — that digital convenience erodes relational depth — has only become more urgent. It was Ritu Kant Ojha's first book, published in 2019.
What the book covers
Four arguments for the real thing
The cost of convenience
Digital tools reduced the friction of staying in touch while removing the depth. The book traces what was lost in that trade.
What a real conversation does
From conflict resolution to trust-building, the research shows that face-to-face exchanges produce outcomes no text or call can replicate.
Three hundred voices
The argument is built on interviews, not theory — three hundred individuals and a hundred families across six countries.
A practical case for presence
The book ends with a case for how and where to protect real conversation — in business, in families, and in public life.
